Account deletion is permanent
When you request deletion, your account is scheduled for permanent removal after a 30-day grace period. Within that window you can recover by contacting [email protected]. After 30 days, your account and personal data are deleted permanently.
Option 1 — Delete from the Jestha app
- Open the Jestha app and sign in.
- Go to your Profile → Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password (if you have one) and the deletion phrase.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, send an email to [email protected] from the email address on your Jestha account. Include:
- Your username (e.g.
@yourname) - A short note confirming you want your account deleted
We'll verify the request and process it within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (display name, bio, avatar, cover image)
- Your email address, phone number, and login credentials
- Posts (Jeses), comments, likes, bounces, and saved items
- Stories and Jesclips
- Push notification tokens and device records
- Direct message contents you authored (DMs sent to others may remain visible to those participants for thread coherence)
What we may retain
- Anonymized usage logs that no longer identify you
- Records required to comply with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations
- Aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to your identity
